The Valentine's Day party was a lot of fun! The Valentine boxes were all so adorable and original. The games planned by the parents were a big hit! Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Weferling and Mrs. Fox! The students personalized birthday cards for me were so sweet, as were the flowers and cake. Thank you!
The timeline projects were incredible! The students loved hearing about each other's lives. Thank you for all of your help!
Today in Science students worked in teams to design and build a sand castle. Then they used materials such as blocks and popsicle sticks to create a barrier system to protect their sand castle from the slow changes of wind and water. They did a great job!
This week in reading we worked on comparing and contrasting different versions of the same fairy or folktales. We read different versions of the Princess and the Pea, Cinderella, Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, the Gingerbread Man, and The Three Little Pigs. Students learned to look for this things were alike and different. We focused on comparing & contrasting the characters, setting, beginning, middle, end, problem, and repeating lines.
We had a very successful Literacy Night! Thank you to those who were able to join us in making some fun fluency and retelling activities!
